tgi MEDIA aiming to tweet its way to the top
A social media marketing business which started life 18 months ago on a dining room table is now set to turnover £100,000 since its launch.*
Online marketing company, tgi MEDIA which raises company profiles via social media is already working with a number of local businesses including Al Forno restaurant, Swim Buddies and Hilarity Bites Comedy Club.
Managing director, Tori Gill, 39, from Darlington who was previously the Commercial Director at Darlington Football Club moved into office accommodation on Skinnergate in the town centre of Darlington in November 2015. She said, “I was working full time for another employer and working on a self-employed basis running tgi MEDIA.”
“Starting the business seemed liked a natural thing to do as my client base grew. I therefore took the decision to leave my current employer, rent an office and I took on my first employee in December 2015.”
Employee, David Wriglesworth, 24, a journalism graduate from the University of Lincoln is hoping to help grow the business even further within the next 12 months. He said, “I have always been passionate about social media marketing, and to be able to help businesses boost their online presence makes it worthwhile.”
“It’s great to be involved with a company that always puts its clients best interests first and I hope that we can continue to do so for years to come.”
The company plans to expand further in the next few months and is already working with a number of organisations including Teesside University by offering students placements.
Free social media drop-in sessions are also being planned for local businesses, with the aim of empowering other owners to make full use of online tools which are available.
