The ‘I’m backing Darlington’ event

Following the recent announcements of the impending closure of House of Fraser and Marks and Spencer in Darlington we are holding a meeting for people with an interest in the success of Darlington Town Centre on 28th June. The meeting is being organised by a group of well-known business figures with the objective of making meaningful and achievable recommendations to the council to improve the current position.

The event will include a Question Time style panel designed to generate at least ten workable ideas to generate more success for the Town Centre offering.

The panel will consist of:

Chair: Graham Robb, owner Recognition PR

Panellists: Anne Elliott, CEO Latimer Hinks Solicitors

Tim Catterall, Retail Property Specialist and Director at Catterall & Co: Property Consultants.

Tori Gill, marketing specialist from TGI media

Sean Bullick, retail specialist (former CEO of NE1, Newcastle Business Improvement District)

This is a unique meeting from the grass roots of local business, it is designed to generate positive conversations that can feed into the council’s own turn-around initiatives. Our objective will be to generate at least ten positive ideas that can be acted upon quickly.

The meeting is free to attend, but access will be granted by ticket only.

Members of the public can watch the meeting via social media on a live You Tube broadcast.
